Harmony Hammerhead Volunteers
Harmony Hammerheads Swim Team runs solely off of the commitment of our parents. It takes a lot of help to put a swim meet together! We must fill many positions for both home meets and away meets. We are so excited to be able to have a Swim Team at HOTL, but we will only succeed if everyone participates.
Families are required to serve a minimum of 5 volunteer shifts per family, with an additional shift per child when more then one child is registered. So for example, if you register two children, you will be required to volunteer for 6 shifts. If you register 5 children, you would have to serve 9 shifts. Please let use know if you have any questions on the number of volunteer shifts your family will be required to serve.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:
- Each family is required to fulfill all of their volunteer duties. A family's volunteer commitment may be fulfilled by any adult member of the family.
- Volunteers must check-in before the meet and check-out after their assigned duty is complete with the volunteer coordinator(s) in order to receive full credit for their duty.
- If you cannot perform your volunteer duty, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and inform the volunteer coordinator(s).
- Each volunteer must complete their entire assigned duty. In some cases, your swimmer will be finished with the meet before your duties are completed.
- Every effort is made to keep your first choice volunteer duties, but know that they can be adjusted throughout the season in order to fulfill the duties of each meet.
If you cannot volunteer, you can pay an opt-out fee of $350 that can be paid in lieu of volunteering. If you do not pay this fee, and you do not fulfill your duties, then you will not be welcomed back to swim team until you pay the fee.
More detailed information and shift sign-ups coming in May!
