Thank You Hammerheads!
Dear Hammerhead Families,
What an incredible five years it’s been!
When we moved to Harmony in 2020, Sara had already been on a neighborhood swim team for two years. Knowing how many community activities Harmony offered, I assumed there would be a team here and was surprised to find there wasn't one.
I set out to create a team so Sara could swim, but I never imagined it would become my summer passion. From convincing the HOA board of the interest to navigating seasons with pool decks that were too hot or water that was too cold, it has been quite a journey. While I initially just wanted a place for my daughter to swim, I gained so much more—lasting friendships, personal growth, and the joy of watching Sara develop a love for coaching.
You have been incredibly supportive and generous, helping this program grow into one of the best in the state. I am excited to see what the future holds.
I’m not leaving the community; Sara will continue to swim and coach. However, I am stepping down to make room for new leadership to take the team to the next level. It has been a privilege to serve as your Team Coordinator, and I look forward to seeing the program continue to thrive.
Best regards,
Genevieve McGarry
