Dear Hammerhead Families,

Can you believe it's already swim team season again!

Here are a few things to keep in mind for the 1st week of practice:

1) Sun, Apr 30 4-5pm we have a parent meeting on the lawn behind the clubhouse.  It's not required but Coach Erin will be talking about how swimmers are chosen for the events at meets - there are ASA rules she follows to get swimmers into the best event(s) based on ability.  Most of our age groups are FULL so swimmers will be limited on the number of events they can compete in.  We can also questions on other topics :)

2) Mon, May 1 is the first day of practice.  This first week we won't practice in the pool, we will be on the lawn behind the clubhouse.  Kids should wear athletic attire, especially shoes.  Please have your child bring a drink since it's might be hot! Practice times are broken up by age.  

5:00 - 5:30 6 years and under 

5:30 - 6:00 7/8 year olds

6:00 - 6:30 9/10 year olds

6:30 - 7:00 11 years & up

This is the schedule for all of May - but starting May 8, practice will be in the main pool. Swimmers should wear a swimsuit (does not have to be the team suit) and bring water and a towel.

3) Mon, May 1 Kona Ice will be in the clubhouse parking lot 5:30-7pm.  This is a fundraiser for swim team so encourage all your neighbors to come!

4) Thurs, May 4 we don't have practice but it is team picture day.  The photographer will be at the pool 4:30-6:30.  The team photo is promptly at 5:30 and everyone should wear this year's team shirt (to be given out as you arrive that day).  Individual photos will be taken before and after the team photo (swimmers can wear the team suit for individual photos).

5) Don't forget, our first meet is Fri, May 19 5-9pm
